Recommendations on the Policies and Procedures for Teaching-Stream Faculty
The Working Group on Teaching-stream Faculty was convened in 2023 by Joint Committee as part of the March 2022 Remuneration Agreement. The Working Group was tasked with reviewing all policies and bylaws at the university, faculty, and department levels that affect faculty, paying special attention to policies that distinguish between teaching-stream and tenure-stream faculty.
In its report, “Recommendations on the Policies and Procedures for Teaching-Stream Faculty,” shared in March 2024, the Working Group proposed “significant shifts in policies and practices in order to put the teaching-stream faculty on an equal footing with their research-stream colleagues – both in perception and reality.”
As the Joint Committee, Vice-Provost, Teaching & Learning, and Deputy Provost plan to implement the recommendations and proposed changes, we welcome your feedback on their implications for your own work. There are two opportunities for you to provide feedback and be involved in shaping the implementation of the proposed changes and next steps.
