We know students want to use generative artificial intelligence safely and responsibly. The resources provided here offer an introduction to using these tools at McMaster and point to further resources to learn more. Introduction to Generative AI for Students Complete the module

This online module presents an overview of generative artificial intelligence or AI for undergraduate students. Topics include what generative AI is, what generative AI tools can/can’t do, how to use generative AI tools, and how generative AI is changing how we learn.

Undergraduate student perspectives on generative artificial intelligence at McMaster Read the report

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning produced a report for McMaster University Libraries in June 2024 entitled: “Undergraduate Student Perspectives on Generative Artificial Intelligence at McMaster.” The report summarizes feedback and key themes of responses from more than 1,300 McMaster students surveyed about the use and perceptions of generative artificial intelligence (AI). The document was written by students in collaboration with staff from the Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning.
