Revised by the AI Expert Panel on Teaching and Learning the Guidelines on the Use of Generative AI in Teaching and Learning were last updated in August, 2024. The Guideline also include sample syllabus statements, citation guidelines and honour pledges.

Undergraduate student perspectives on generative AI at McMaster Read the report
The Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning produced a report for McMaster University Libraries in June 2024 entitled: “Undergraduate Student Perspectives on Generative Artificial Intelligence at McMaster.” The report summarizes feedback and key themes of responses from more than 1,300 McMaster students surveyed about the use and perceptions of generative artificial intelligence (AI). The document was written by students in collaboration with staff from the Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning.
