The Faculty Relations Office is the primary contact and consult for all things related to all classes of Academic Appointments. This also includes primary contact and consult for immigration as it relates to all classes of academic appointments, particularly, but not solely to, new faculty who are foreign nationals joining McMaster. Feel free to reach out to our office for any matters relating to, but not limited to:
- Matters of policy that serve the academic interests of the institution
- Advice and support regarding appointment, renewal, tenure and promotion processes
- Visiting appointments, SPS A3 and other academics in general
- Recruiting, immigration, leaves, reduced workloads, overload teaching, and teaching release
- Administrative faculty appointments and associated stipends
- CPM allocations, administration of faculty compensation
- Retirement, Professor Emeritus/a status
