Hosted by the Office of the Provost and the University Secretariat
University governance impacts all of us on campus, but often, little is known of how it works, who does what and what influences changes and revisions to our policies, procedures, guidelines and processes.
This workshop is designed to help you understand how McMaster governance works and the role of the Secretariat Office. You will hear about:
• How decisions are made at McMaster University.
• The responsibilities and powers of the Board of Governors, the University Senate and their subcommittees.
• Staff, student and faculty participation and how you can get involved.
Participants are encouraged to bring questions and join the session as a chair/administrator team.
