Leading McMaster’s Financial Planning
The Provost oversees the creation and allocation of the university’s budget, making strategic investments that support the five priorities in McMaster’s Strategic Plan. As Chief Budgetary Officer, she maintains the sound financial health of the university while ensuring enough flexibility to meet the evolving needs of Faculties and support units.
The Provost sits on McMaster’s Board of Governors who are responsible for approving the yearly consolidated budget and is an ex officio member of the Budget Committee which reviews the budget framework, responds to budget submissions from all areas of the university, and more.
